he varsity and jv tennis teams competed against the Home School Athletic Association on Thursday, September 26. Kaufman earned a district win against Terrell earlier in the week from forfeit. The match against HSAA was simply an additional match for practice. Overall there were ten doubles matches and twenty singles matches on the night.

Kaufman proved dominant in doubles play, winning eight of the ten. Wins came at the top from Jackson Haynes/Zach Bryant, Lance Ivie/Diego Santoyo, Laney Sanders/Samantha Sipriano, and Olivia Perez/Bella Negri. In singles, HSAA held their own and displayed strong play throughout the ranks. Kaufman fell at the top spots, but squeezed out matches in the middle of the line-up, courtesy of Lance Ivie, Zach Bryant, Steven Quiroz, Olivia Perez, and Samantha Sipriano.

In the lower ranks, the JV crew demonstrated consistent play, winning most of their matches. Dannielle Anderson, Levi Russell, Alondra Bermudez, Peytin Duckworth, Lily Martin, and Sutton Wade delivered wins in singles. The overall score on the night was 19-11.
